Intelligence Methodology

How iGTI turns industry information into verified intelligence

iGamingTech Insider tracks the technology relationships connecting operators, vendors, products, technology categories and markets. Our methodology is designed to separate what the evidence supports from what is merely assumed.

Research workflow

From source to intelligence

Every relationship moves through a structured evidence workflow before it becomes part of the verified intelligence layer.

01

Identify

We identify relevant information about operators, vendors, technologies, products and markets from trusted sources.

02

Capture

We capture the information and structure it using the iGTI intelligence taxonomy and data model.

03

Validate

We review the evidence and confirm exactly what the source supports before treating a relationship as verified.

04

Map

Verified entities are connected across operators, vendors, technology categories, products and markets.

05

Publish

Verified relationships are published to the intelligence layer with their supporting context and verification date.

Relationship model

What exactly are we verifying?

The core unit of iGTI Intelligence is a technology relationship. Instead of storing an announcement as an isolated fact, we map the entities the evidence connects.

Operator
Technology
Vendor
Product
Market
Evidence

A relationship can therefore answer more than who works with whom. It can show the technology involved, the product being used, the relevant market and the evidence supporting the connection.

Evidence standard

What “verified” means at iGTI

Verified means that iGTI has reviewed supporting evidence and determined that it supports the relationship being published. It does not mean that every possible detail about the relationship is known.

Evidence before assertion

A relationship is not published as verified simply because it appears plausible. The underlying evidence must support the claim being made.

Claim-level precision

We distinguish between what a source states directly, what may be inferred from multiple sources and what remains unresolved.

Structured relationships

Intelligence is captured as connected entities and relationships rather than isolated announcements or articles.

Verification has a date

Relationships retain verification timing so readers can understand when the underlying information was last checked.

Verification over time

Intelligence is not static

Technology relationships change. Vendors are replaced, platforms migrate, products launch and commercial relationships end. iGTI retains verification dates so that intelligence can be reviewed and updated as new evidence becomes available.

Research limitations

What we do not claim

Public information can be incomplete. The absence of a relationship from iGTI does not prove that the relationship does not exist. Where evidence is insufficient, ambiguous or unresolved, we do not present the relationship as verified intelligence.

The principle

iGTI should clearly distinguish what is directly supported by evidence, what is inferred from multiple sources and what remains unresolved.
